- Qualifies for LEED credits
- Environmentally-Friendly Manufacturing
The demand for quality is sometimes difficult to provide while still remembering the needs of the environment. Soundstop® Fiberboard provides the highest standard in soundproofing materials while still maintaining its organic qualities and environmentally friendly composition.
SoundStop® Fiberboard is a natural product consisting of bio-based, pre-consumer content (wood chip or sugarcane fibers) recovered from within 100 miles of manufacturing facilities. The binding agent present in SoundStop® Fiberboard is also environmentally friendly, consisting of natural vegetable starch containing no added urea-formaldehydes.
The SoundStop® Fiberboard manufacturing process is specially designed to be environmentally conscious and accommodating, minimizing post-industrial waste by utilizing state-of-the-art pollution control equipment. Regenerative Thermal Oxidizers reduce Volatile Organic Compound (VOC) emissions from dryer exhaust by over 97%. Closed-loop process water systems lead to the efficient management and recycling of processed water while closed-loop wet scrubbers reduce Particulate Matter (PM) by over 99%, resulting in the efficient management and recycling of processed water and effective conservation of public water.
A quality product should offer superior results without sacrificing the environment. Soundstop® Fiberboard remembers its earth-friendly promise to keep quality high and environmental impact low.
SoundStop® Fiberboard also contributes to LEED credits for the following project rating systems:
1. New Construction/Major Renovation 2. Commercial Interiors
3. Core and Shell Development
